If you’ve never hired a bartender for your home or event before, the experience can seem a little daunting! This page covers some of the more common questions our clients have.
What equipment do we need to supply?
Our Bartenders will provide all the necessary equipment they need to make the cocktails, so you need only provide things to drink from – glasses, jugs, mugs, whatever you wish can be used. We can provide glassware hire if required, at an additional cost.
The alcohol – we’ll give you a shopping list based on the cocktails you have chosen, taking into account the number of guests and the duration of the event. Again, we can supply this, however, there will be a commission charge on top. *
How much should I expect to budget for this kind of party?
We try to be as accurate as possible for the length of time and number of guests so there is no set price. However, as an example, if we take the average booking time of 4 hours, we would typically suggest roughly £3 per person – or for a fresher, premium style drinks menu, £5 per person.
What happens if my bartender is ill, or cannot make it?
We ensure that we have backups available for every single event booked with us. The backup staff will always have their own transport and equipment available should the worst case scenario happen. As rare as these occasions are, we are one of the only companies that ensure we are prepared without having to resort to recruiting last minute bartenders from public bartender forums.
Do you have insurance?
Yes – we are covered for up to four million pounds in liability. A lot of corporate clients and venues ask us to send proof of this across, which we can forward with any quotes requested.
How do I choose the best company for me? There are so many!
Simply go with the one that feels ‘right’. When we discuss events with our clients, we actively encourage them to shop around and ask all the questions they want – a good company will always know the answers to the questions you want to ask because they are experienced in running similar events.
Just watch out for companies that outsource the work to public forums – this means that the company you go with may not know the bartender(s), and therefore can’t vouch for their abilities, punctuality or even their appearance!
If any company pressures you into paying now, or paying a deposit without giving you a chance to look around, then proceed with care – we have nearly 20 years’ experience in the industry and we are perfectly comfortable letting our clients look around before choosing us.
*This is not an option for Masterclasses. These are covered by an all-inclusive price to provide everything.
