Conference drinks at the Convention Centre at Liverpool Experience Campus

Planning a conference at the venue formerly called ACC Liverpool? The delegate reception may use a foyer or meeting space while the main programme runs elsewhere on the connected campus. The drinks plan needs the booked room, the timing and the catering agreement, not a guess based on the campus name.

Cocktailhire is independent of Liverpool Experience Campus. Levy is the campus's appointed food-and-beverage partner. We can discuss a separate staffed bar only if the operator, organiser and catering team approve an outside supplier for your exact space; otherwise the campus catering route comes first.

Send the date, Convention Centre room or foyer, delegate and reception numbers, service window and approval position. We can then assess whether an approved counter or mobile bar would serve a real purpose alongside the booked provision.

Venue planning note

Convention Centre and Exhibition Centre are different bookings

The operator's April 2026 launch names the former ACC Liverpool venue the Convention Centre at Liverpool Experience Campus, alongside the separately named Exhibition Centre. Its current spaces guide describes a connected campus with meeting rooms, breakouts and an auditorium. An event can span more than one space, so identify the actual room and where guests will gather for drinks.

The campus names Levy as its conference and exhibition catering partner. Confirm the contracted drinks service and outside-supplier rules with the event and catering teams before asking Cocktailhire to plan a separate point.

Delegate hospitality

Fit the drinks to the programme

A short break between sessions needs a different service position from an evening reception. Guests may move between a plenary, smaller rooms and a foyer. If outside service is authorised, the bar should be positioned for the actual guest route and timed so it does not create a queue or interrupt the campus catering plan.

The organiser should not have to manage glassware or replenish the counter while welcoming delegates. That relief is useful only when the venue has approved a defined role for the outside team.

What to settle first

Start with the operator and Levy

Ask what drinks the event contract already covers, who controls the proposed service space and whether brought-in staff, drinks and equipment are allowed. If not, use the campus catering service; an independent bar should not be promised.

Drinks and glassware

Choose drinks after the service is approved

You choose drinks from the existing Cocktailhire menu, and the event menu is built from those selections. Staffing, ingredients, glassware and any mobile bar depend on the authorised space and agreed guest numbers; none is presumed to be part of the campus booking.

Next step

Send the exact space and approval position

Tell us the date, named Convention Centre room or foyer, reception count, service hours, catering plan and the operator's decision. We can then say whether Cocktailhire has a permitted, useful role.

Frequently asked questions

Planning drinks at the Convention Centre

Is this page about the former ACC Liverpool?

Yes. The operator now calls it the Convention Centre at Liverpool Experience Campus. The Exhibition Centre is a separate, connected venue with its own page and event arrangements.

Can Cocktailhire provide an outside bar at the Convention Centre?

Only if the campus operator, event organiser and appointed catering team approve a separate drinks supplier for the exact event space. Cocktailhire is independent of the campus and cannot assume that outside stock, staff or equipment are permitted.

Who handles catering at Liverpool Experience Campus?

The campus appointed Levy for conference and exhibition food-and-beverage service from April 2026. Ask the event team what Levy is already providing before planning a separate drinks point.

What should an organiser send first?

Send the date, booked Convention Centre room or foyer, delegate and reception numbers, service window, existing catering plan and the operator's outside-supplier decision. A floor plan helps establish whether a separate bar has any workable position.

How would an approved Cocktailhire event menu be chosen?

You choose drinks from the existing Cocktailhire menu, and the event menu is built from those selections after the permitted service plan is clear.
