Bar service for meetings and receptions at The Edwardian Manchester

Booking The Edwardian Manchester for a meeting or reception often means the room and hotel catering are already being planned together. Before adding a second bar, you need to know where guests will gather, what drinks the hotel is providing and whether your booking allows an outside team.

Cocktailhire is independent of The Edwardian Manchester. We can discuss a staffed drinks service only if the hotel and organiser approve an outside supplier. If the hotel's own bar is already right for the event, that should remain the service page.

Send us the date, room, guest count, service times and the hotel's supplier decision. We can then assess an approved counter or mobile bar against the actual floor plan rather than promise a setup from the hotel name alone.

Venue planning note

The Hallé and The Library are different drinks plans

Radisson's current venue information describes a Lounge Bar adjoining the Hallé Suite, smaller private rooms and The Library Champagne Bar for receptions. The Hallé can also be divided. A drinks point for a subdivided meeting is not the same brief as a reception in a space with its own bar.

Confirm the booked room and the hotel's food-and-drink provision first. If a separate supplier is approved, the organiser can then identify a permitted position, arrival route and service window that do not duplicate or interrupt the hotel team.

During the event

Keep the host with the guests

At a business reception, guests need a clear place to be served while the host remains free to welcome people. At a meeting, a short break needs a service point that works to the agenda. An outside team is useful only when it has an approved role alongside the hotel's existing arrangements.

Once that role is agreed, we can discuss bartenders at an existing counter or a mobile bar where the room and access permit it. The service should feel part of the event, not compete with the hotel's bar.

What to settle first

Do not assume the extra bar is needed

Ask the hotel event contact what is already included, which room or part of the Hallé is booked, and whether outside drinks service is allowed. That answer decides if there is anything useful for Cocktailhire to supply.

Drinks and glassware

Set the menu after the hotel terms are clear

You choose drinks from the existing Cocktailhire menu, and the event menu is built from those selections. Bartenders, ingredients, glassware and any mobile bar can be scoped for an approved outside service, but none is assumed to be permitted or included in the hotel booking.

Next step

Send the room and drinks plan

Tell us the date, booked space, guest count, service window and what the hotel has approved. We can give a clear answer on whether a separate staffed drinks service makes sense.

Frequently asked questions

Planning drinks at The Edwardian Manchester

Can Cocktailhire provide a separate bar at The Edwardian Manchester?

Only if the hotel and event organiser approve an outside drinks supplier for your booking. Cocktailhire is independent of the hotel, and we will not confirm a bar or team until the room, catering agreement and supplier rules are clear.

Does the hotel already have reception bars?

Radisson lists a Lounge Bar adjoining the Hallé Suite and The Library Champagne Bar for drinks receptions. Check what the hotel is providing in your booked space before considering a separate drinks service.

What should I send for a meeting or reception enquiry?

Send the date, booked room, guest numbers, service window, the hotel drinks plan and its decision on an outside supplier. A room layout is helpful if the Hallé Suite has been divided.

How is a Cocktailhire event menu chosen?

You choose drinks from the existing Cocktailhire menu, and the event menu is built from those selections, subject to the permitted service plan.
