Keep the visible counter organised by giving the work behind it enough space and support. Guests should see a clear place to order and a finished drink, not stock deliveries, used glasses and hurried improvisation sharing the same surface.
Make tidiness part of the service plan
Allow for stock, ice, equipment and clean glassware behind the bar. Assign replenishment and used-glass collection, and match staffing to the actual guest count and arrival pattern.
If branded fronts or product displays are required, agree artwork and placement early enough to fit the setup. Keep the serving area useful as well as attractive. A display that obstructs preparation or makes staff move bottles for every order will deteriorate quickly once demand rises.
- Separate the guest-facing counter from stock and clearing space.
- Confirm who maintains supplies and presentation during the busiest period.
