How Many Bartenders Does a Catered Wedding Need

Cocktailhire's usual starting point is one bartender per 50 guests. That means two for 100 guests and three for 150, with the drinks choice, arrival rush and separate service points checked before the staffing plan is confirmed.

Use the real guest count at each stage

A wedding reception often sends most guests to the bar at once. The plan needs to account for that first round as well as the quieter service later. Tell us if additional evening guests arrive or if cocktails are served in more than one room.

Bartenders should not be counted twice as a complete waiting or clearing team. If the same people are expected to take drinks to tables, collect glasses or replenish from a distant store, those duties need separate capacity.

  • Keep guest numbers accurate in the quote; a smaller entered number does not make the real service smaller.
  • Share the ceremony finish, dinner time, speeches and evening guest arrival.
