Should a Conference Hotel Reception Use Bartenders or a Full Mobile Bar

Use a hired team with the hotel's existing bar if that bar is available, suitably equipped and well positioned for the reception. Choose a separate mobile bar when the room needs an additional working serving point rather than simply more people.

Check the existing bar before adding another one

Confirm who can use it, the preparation space, equipment and how it will operate alongside the hotel's own drinks service. Share delegate numbers, arrival times and any immediate transition into dinner or a session.

If a mobile bar is needed, agree access, its full footprint and utility arrangements. Compare the written staffing, supplies, glassware and hours for both options. Neither a counter nor a job title automatically establishes who buys ingredients or handles used glasses; those duties must be clear.

  • Confirm the existing bar's availability and suitability for this service.
  • Add a mobile setup only where it solves a real working or layout need.
