What Is the Best Drinks Setup for a Red Carpet Reception

Place drinks service after the arrival and photography process, with a clear route into the reception. Guests should not have to choose between queuing for a drink and reaching the next part of the event.

Keep the camera route and ordering route separate

Share the guest count, arrival pattern, press-call timings and any restricted hospitality areas. Confirm whether there is an agreed welcome drink or ordinary made-to-order service once guests enter.

Position the bar with enough room for staff, stock and approaching guests, away from photographers and talent movement. Brief any specific presentation separately and give the team a contact for arrival changes. A red-carpet description does not automatically include tray service, talent duties or filming; the written booking needs to identify them.

  • Connect check-in and photography to a clear reception route.
  • Confirm welcome drinks and restricted-area duties explicitly.
