Choose a clearly agreed welcome-drink format that suits arrivals, photography and the programme. Guests should know where to receive a drink without crowding check-in or interrupting a planned shot.
Prepare the first serving moment deliberately
Confirm the selected drink, glassware, quantities and expected arrival period. If a prepared drink or particular presentation is needed, include the timing and handover in the brief rather than assuming it comes with ordinary cocktail service.
Keep stock and preparation away from the press route, and identify who cues any delay or programme change. Agree appropriate alcohol-free choices and make them clear to guests. Any use of drinks in filming or talent activity needs its own instructions; visibility on camera should not disrupt the rest of the reception.
