Expect a clear plan for preparing and serving the agreed products around the distributor's event. Stock, equipment, staffing and timings should be explicit, with any reporting or media outputs defined separately rather than implied by a general promise of event support.
Keep the supplier useful to the trade conversation
Provide the products, approved preparation instructions, audience and appointment or presentation schedule. Confirm who supplies stock and how the bar will support comparisons or planned serving moments.
The supplier should work around the commercial team without becoming an unbriefed sales representative. If anonymous serve reporting is included, agree the fields and interpretation limits. Counts can explain what was served and when, not which buyer will place an order. Finish with one written statement of responsibilities and the actual deliverables.
- Confirm products, serving instructions and stock responsibility.
- Separate operational reporting from sales or buyer-intent claims.
