Choose flair when a visible performance supports the reception or after-dinner atmosphere. Keep service restrained during speeches, awards, formal dining or any period when the stage and conversation need the room's attention.
Give entertainment a place in the running order
The bar must have suitable clearance and a position guests can see without crowding a working route. Explain the room layout and any overhead fittings before deciding that flair is suitable.
A performance moment is not a substitute for the staffing needed to serve everybody. Plan ordinary drinks production alongside it, particularly if the whole room returns to the bar after an award presentation. If there is no sensible time or space for guests to watch, focused cocktail service is the better use of the booking.
- Agree performance periods and quiet periods with the event lead.
- Keep guest-count staffing separate from the entertainment choice.
