A dry-hire wedding booking can leave you with a beautiful room but no working drinks service. A Cocktailhire wedding cocktail package brings the bar, team, ingredients for your selected cocktails, ice and glassware together. You do not need to buy those package ingredients yourself.
Dry-hire agreements vary, so check what your room booking actually includes. The package does not change the venue's own access arrangements, available facilities or event rules. Settle those details with your venue contact and tell us what is available before the bar plan is confirmed.
What to confirm with the room booking
- Where the bar can stand, including working room behind it and space for guests to order.
- The unloading route, stairs or lift, setup access and collection arrangements.
- What water access, power, storage and waste arrangements are available.
- When guests arrive, when dinner and speeches begin, and whether the room needs to be turned around.
- Who is supplying and serving any wine, beer or other drinks outside the agreed cocktail package.
Choose the package around your actual day
Wedding packages start at 50 guests and four hours of service. You choose drinks from the existing Cocktailhire menu within your package tier. Confirm the real guest count and the periods when cocktails are wanted, rather than treating the entire time you have hired the room as continuous bar service.
For example, if you want cocktails at the drinks reception and again in the evening, share the dinner and speech timings when planning the booking. A service pause or room move needs to be planned; it should not be discovered while guests are waiting for drinks.
The paperwork should make responsibilities obvious
Your booking should say what Cocktailhire is bringing and what remains with you, the caterer or the venue. An optional package ingredient itinerary explains our supplies; it is not a shopping task for the couple. Staff-only hire is different and can require the client to provide the ingredients and other agreed supplies.
