CHRISTMAS PARTY BAR PLANNING
The room is booked. The guest list is moving. Someone still has to decide where the drinks are made, who serves them and what the venue already provides. That decision is simpler when it is made before the final week.
A Christmas party does not automatically need the largest package. If the venue already has a workable service point, experienced bartenders may be enough. If the room has nowhere suitable to serve from, it needs a proper event bar. If you want the bar, staff, ingredients, ice and glassware handled together, that is a different booking again.
START WITH THE ROOM
Choose the setup the event actually needs.
The venue already has a bar
Book the people, not another structure. Cocktail bartender hire is the cleanest fit when the working area, water and service surface already exist.
The room needs its own service point
Cocktail and event bar hire gives the room a visible, staffed bar rather than asking the team to work from a table or an improvised corner.
You want everything handled together
An all-in-one cocktail package includes the bar, staff, ingredients, ice and glassware. It is useful when the venue supplies little beyond the room.
The drinks should support the party, not become the organiser's second job.
Christmas events often carry more moving parts than an ordinary private party: venue access, speeches, food service, guest arrivals, entertainment and a firm finish time. The bar has to sit inside that schedule. It should be ready before guests arrive, staffed for the pressure points and clear about what is included.
For an office or client event, the company event bar service keeps the commercial brief separate from a private-house booking. The same principle still applies: use what the room already has, add only what it genuinely needs and put the operational details in writing before the event.
BEFORE YOU BOOK
Five details settle the shape of the bar.
- Guest numbers: enough to judge the service pressure and sensible staffing.
- Service times: when the first drink is expected and when the bar must close.
- The room: whether a workable bar already exists or a separate structure is required.
- Access: loading, stairs, lifts, parking and the time available to build before guests enter.
- What the venue supplies: water, power, refrigeration, glassware, ice and waste handling.
Those facts prevent both under-planning and unnecessary upgrades. They also make the price meaningful because every quote is being compared against the same event, not a different interpretation of it.
Why the cheapest staffing quote is rarely the same service.
Cocktailhire is not built around finding an unknown available person after the booking is taken. The team is made up of people we know, pay properly and trust to attend the event they accepted. Every confirmed event we have ever taken has been attended.
That record is part of the price. At Christmas, when replacement staff are difficult to find and the room cannot simply move to another date, certainty matters more than a saving that exists only on the first invoice.
THE MENU
Choose the drinks from the existing Cocktailhire menu.
You choose the drinks before committing to the booking. The event menu is built from those selections, so the shopping list or supplied ingredients match what will actually be served. There is no need to commission a separate menu-development exercise.
The practical choice is usually a short menu with enough contrast for the room: different base spirits, at least one lighter option and drinks that can hold their pace when several guests arrive together.
COMMON QUESTIONS
What organisers usually need answered.
Do we need a mobile bar for a Christmas party?
Only if the room lacks a workable service point or the bar needs to become a deliberate part of the room. If a suitable bar already exists, bartender hire may be enough.
Can Cocktailhire cover office and company Christmas parties?
Yes. Company events can be planned around the venue, guest numbers, service times and the level of drinks support the organiser needs.
Can we see the drinks before booking?
Yes. The existing Cocktailhire menu is available during the booking journey, before payment.
When is the date secured?
A callback does not reserve the date. The event is booked only when the booking payment has been completed.
Check the date while the decision is still yours.
Start with the event date, service times, address and guest numbers. You can then see the price, view the drinks and either book online or schedule a callback if something still needs answering.
