Should a Caterer Use Bartenders Only or a Full Mobile Bar

Use bartenders only when the caterer or venue already has a suitable service station and the necessary supplies are assigned. Choose a mobile bar when the event needs the physical working bar as well as the people serving from it.

Check what is actually ready to use

A trestle table or house counter may be workable for some events, but check preparation space, glass storage, ice and the guest-facing finish. The bar team should see the proposed setup before the choice is settled.

If the client wants the selected drinks, ingredients, ice and glassware supplied with the bar and team, an all-in-one package is the clearer comparison. It avoids describing several different scopes as a full bar and discovering the difference after booking.

  • Agree arrival, ready-to-serve time and clearing duties against the catering schedule.
