The usual reason for hiring a cocktail maker is not that the host cannot pour a drink. It is that they do not want the party to turn into four hours of finding ice, answering questions and making the same cocktails while everyone else is together.
You remain the host
Once guests arrive, drinks become continuous. Someone wants a recommendation, someone changes their mind and someone else needs the next round. Without a dedicated person, that work lands on the host or the one friend who appears most capable.
A cocktail maker takes ownership of the service point. The selected drinks are known, the tools are ready and guests know where to go.
The drinks are decided before the night
You choose from the existing Cocktailhire menu before booking. Those selections form the event menu and the shopping list. That gives you a clear basis for buying ingredients and means the cocktail maker arrives knowing what will be served.
Preparation happens before service
The service start is the time the bar should be ready for guests. The team arrives early enough to bring in equipment, organise the bottles and prepare the working area. You are not paying for the first part of service to disappear into setup.
Pace matters as much as technique
A good cocktail is not useful if most of the room is waiting for it. The number of guests, number of choices and number of staff have to work together. Cocktailhire recommends a focused menu because it gives guests real choice without slowing every order.
You may not need a mobile bar
If the room already has a suitable kitchen island, counter or fixed bar, a cocktail maker can use it. Cocktailhire will not add a mobile bar simply to increase the booking. A physical bar is for rooms that need one.
Known staff, not last-minute recruitment
Cheaper operators can sell a booking first and then search large online bartender groups for whoever is free. That keeps their wage cost low, but it means the company may never have worked with the person who turns up.
Cocktailhire uses its own known team and pays them properly. We have attended every confirmed event we have accepted. That record is the reason the quote is not the cheapest, and we make no apology for protecting it.
What is included
The standard cocktail maker service covers the booked staff, bar tools and service for the agreed hours. The host uses the Cocktailhire shopping list to buy ingredients. Glassware, ingredients, ice and a mobile bar are separate unless the booking is an all-in-one service.
The decision is straightforward
If you already have a workable service point and are happy to buy the ingredients, cocktail maker hire is usually the leanest option. If you want the physical bar or the whole drinks side supplied, choose the service that actually covers it.
