Cocktail Party Shopping List: Drinks, Ingredients & Ice

Choose up to five cocktails from the Cocktailhire menu, then use the selected-menu shopping list to buy supplies for your staff-only booking. The public calculator helps estimate quantities. Check the number of people drinking each choice and the planned service hours before buying.

Start with the people drinking cocktails

Use the adults drinking the planned cocktails, rather than automatically treating every guest as a cocktail drinker. Other drinks, alcohol-free choices, service duration and guest preferences affect the quantities. Estimates support shopping; they are not a target for consumption.

Translate servings into bottle quantities

A 70cl bottle contains 700ml. If a selected recipe uses 35ml of that spirit, one bottle supplies 20 such measures. Thirty servings need 1,050ml, so buy two 70cl bottles for that ingredient; 50 servings need three bottles; 80 servings need four. These are servings, not an assumption of one identical drink per guest.

Combine ingredients across the menu

Two cocktails may use the same spirit, juice or garnish. Add that ingredient across both recipes before rounding to purchase sizes. Check what you already own, available bottle sizes and storage. The booking shopping list gives the relevant ingredients for your selected drinks.

Ice, glasses and cold storage

Ice supports drink preparation as well as cooling where required, so confirm the planned use and storage. Staff-only clients provide ice and glasses. Glassware hire can be added when you book our staffed mobile bar. A stocked package includes the agreed ingredients, ice and glasses.

Have supplies ready for preparation

Set out the agreed ingredients and make cold storage, water and waste arrangements clear. Leave a suitable stable counter and working space. Tell the bartender about relevant dietary requirements and keep original ingredient packaging available for checking.
