01 / STRAIGHT
A straight bar needs its ordered width by 1.5m floor depth.

02 / HORSESHOE
Allow the ordered width by 2.5m floor depth, with access at the back.

03 / ISLAND
Allow 5.5m by 3.5m for the island, central shelving and working area, plus guest circulation space.
Configurations shown for comparison, not to scale. Equipment and back-bar shelving depend on the arrangement booked.

Map the drinks service against guest arrival, photographs, the wedding breakfast, speeches and evening guests. Decide which parts your venue or caterer handles and which parts Cocktailhire supplies. This gives you a clear service window and avoids paying for overlapping provision.
Choose the bar from measured floor space, not just the marquee’s overall size. Straight bars need 1.5m working depth at their ordered length. Horseshoe bars need 2.5m depth; the full island needs 5.5m by 3.5m. Keep guest queues, exits, tables and catering routes outside that footprint.
Book staff at a suitable venue bar, add a Cocktailhire bar, or choose the stocked package. For packages, select up to five cocktails within your chosen tier. The quoted package includes the agreed bar, staff, cocktail ingredients, ice and glasses. Travel and agreed additions are itemised.
A planned meal or speech break can pause wedding service for up to two hours where agreed. Record the pause and restart in the event plan. Share the venue contact, supplier permission, loading arrangements and installation window before the day.
White or Black Chesterfield gives a padded finish; wood and foliage suit different room palettes; Mirror Brick reflects the setting; illuminated finishes add light to an evening bar. Compare the actual designs below and share the production plan with the marquee or venue team.
Straight bar: 1.5m wide × 1.5m deep.

Plan for the selected layout, not a venue survey. Guest circulation, delivery access and emergency routes are additional. Final configuration is agreed in your booking’s Production information.
