Check the event date, postcode, timing plan and any agreed extras alongside the package price. An apparently cheaper staff-only quote may leave you buying supplies and arranging equipment separately. It is not a like-for-like comparison until those responsibilities and costs are included.
A practical example
A quote for 100 guests over four service hours describes a different event from one for 150 guests over five hours. Use the real numbers in both comparisons; guest counts cannot be reduced after a quote to obtain a cheaper price.
