Christmas drinks, with someone else serving

Hire a Cocktail Maker or Mobile Bar for Your Christmas Party

You have invited everyone over, or organised the office Christmas do. You should be enjoying it with them, not spending the evening measuring drinks and finding more ice.

Hire a cocktail maker to serve at your existing counter, add a staffed mobile bar, or choose a package with the agreed drinks supplied. We come to your home, office or hired venue, prepare before service and make the drinks while you spend time with your guests.

Staff from £270 for three hours · staffed bars from £595 for three hours · inclusive packages from £29 per guest for four hours, minimum 50 guests. Travel, extras and date-specific pricing are confirmed in your quote.

Which Christmas drinks service fits your party?

Start with what you already have: a suitable counter, the drinks supplies, or neither. The setting does not decide the service—a small office can book one person, while a home party can have a supplied bar.

Already have a counter?

From £270 for three service hours

Hire the cocktail professional and working kit. You provide the counter, ingredients, ice and glasses; we make and serve the selected drinks.

Each extra hour is £67.50 per professional. Plan one person for every 50 guests.

See year-round cocktail maker hire at home

Need the bar as well?

From £595 for three service hours

One 1.5m mobile bar unit and one professional, including bar assembly and removal. You buy ingredients and ice; glassware hire is available separately.

Two professionals can serve behind one unit: £865 for 51–100 guests over three hours, before travel and extras.

Want the drinks supplied too?

From £29 per guest for four service hours

The agreed bar, team, selected-drink ingredients, ice and glassware together. Tier 2 is £34 and Tier 3 £39 per guest for four hours.

Minimum 50 guests: £1,450 / £1,700 / £1,950 before travel and extras. Your tier determines eligible menu choices.

Starting prices are service subtotals. Your postcode, date and agreed extras determine the final quote. The staff-only service has no 50-guest minimum.

What could your Christmas booking look like?

These are planning examples using our standard rates, before travel, extras and any date-specific pricing.

Forty people at home or in the office?

£270 for three hours: one professional at your suitable counter. You arrange the ingredients, ice and glasses. A complete staff-only booking, with no mobile bar required.

Seventy-five colleagues and no bar?

£865 for three hours: two professionals behind one 1.5m bar unit. You buy the ingredients and ice, with glassware arranged separately. Agree the arrival rush and service position with us.

One hundred guests with drinks included?

£2,900 / £3,400 / £3,900 for four hours: the current three package tiers, with two professionals and one bar unit. Selected drinks, ice and glassware are included as agreed.

Staffing capacity and drink quantities are different decisions. Package stock is calculated from your guests, hours and selected menu, with quantities confirmed before booking. These prices do not promise unlimited drinks.

Will it work at home, in the office or at a hired venue?

Choose the setup around the room and the evening you are planning.

Hosting Christmas drinks at home?

A cleared, suitable kitchen island, counter or sturdy table can become the drinks station. Share the dimensions and arrange stock, ice, glasses and cold storage. Once service begins, you can stay with your friends instead of running the drinks.

Plan your party timings and handover

Organising a small office Christmas do?

Book a professional at an existing counter or add a supplied bar. Agree who receives the ingredients, how the team enters the building and when everyone finishes work. Make sure the loading, lift and security arrangements match the service floor.

Read the office-event and procurement guidance

Expecting a larger company reception?

Tell us when guests will arrive together, whether there are speeches and whether service is spread across rooms or floors. Staff allocation, bar positions and stock need to follow that running order.

Which drinks can you choose for Christmas?

Choose up to five eligible drinks from the existing Cocktailhire menu. These are a few options for your Christmas gathering; the chooser shows which are available within your service or package tier.

What about guests who do not drink alcohol?

Include them when choosing the event menu. Drinks with an alcohol-free option are marked in the chooser; check the actual alternatives available for your selection.

Can we serve wine, fizz and beer alongside cocktails?

Yes. Our professional can pour your Prosecco, wine, bottled beers and soft drinks too. Include them in the event details so the station, glasses and timing can be planned. Staff-only hire does not include those supplies or dining-table waiting.

Inclusive packages cover bottled beer, Prosecco and wine during cocktail-bar service. Separate seated-meal drinks, dining-table service, Champagne and specific brands need agreement. See the package inclusions before choosing.

How much would the shopping list be?

You buy the ingredients and ice. We send you an itemised shopping list with direct product links, and you keep every leftover bottle.

Which bar finish and layout would suit your Christmas party?

Start with our festive suggestion: Red Brick with a white countertop. Switch finishes and move between the straight, horseshoe and island layouts to find the bar that fits your room. Your selected finish, layout and white-top preference follow you into the quote for confirmation.

Which mobile bar layouts can I compare?

Compare straight, horseshoe and island bars with their working footprints.

LED Gatsby is available for setups of two bar units or more.

Red Brick / White Top

Red Brick / White Top Single straight unit

01 / STRAIGHT

How much floor space does a straight bar need?

A straight bar needs its ordered width by 1.5m floor depth.

Red Brick / White Top Horseshoe

02 / HORSESHOE

How much floor space does a horseshoe bar need?

Allow the ordered width by 2.5m floor depth, with access at the back.

Red Brick / White Top Full island

03 / ISLAND

How much floor space does an island bar need?

Allow 5.5m by 3.5m for the island, central shelving and working area, plus guest circulation space.

Configurations shown for comparison, not to scale. Equipment and back-bar shelving depend on the arrangement booked.

The Red Brick previews illustrate the white countertop option. Tell us you would like the white top when confirming your bar. Decorations, stock and back-bar equipment depend on the service and layout booked.

How much working room should you leave?

A single unit has a 1.5m frontage and 108cm counter height. Allow 1.5m width × 1.5m working depth, including the staff space behind it. Two professionals can work behind that unit.

Guest circulation, furniture and the delivery route need additional space. Larger layouts have their own measurements.

How do we get from choosing a service to the first drink?

Agree the date, supplies and running order before the event, so the attending team can prepare for your party.

  1. Step 01

Which service format do you need?

Choose people at your counter, a staffed bar or an inclusive package. Add your exact date and postcode in checkout and review the final price, access and responsibilities.

  2. Step 02

Which drinks will your guests enjoy?

Select up to five eligible drinks from the existing menu, including suitable alcohol-free options. Tell us about other drinks, speeches and the meal so the team has the same plan.

  3. Step 03

When do the paperwork and shopping list arrive?

Once payment is made, including a deposit where that option is available, your full booking paperwork is released. When you supply ingredients, it includes an itemised shopping list with direct clickable links and quantities for your selected drinks. You buy the supplies; the preview below the calculator is an estimate.

    See your ingredient shopping estimate

  4. Step 04

Will the team be ready at the service start?

We arrange early access to build the bar, if booked, and prepare the working station and ingredients. Preparation does not use your paid service hours: the team is ready to serve the first drink at the agreed start time.

What should the Christmas organiser confirm?

A short, shared plan avoids last-minute instructions while guests are arriving.

Who handles building access and stock?

Name the on-day contact, loading point and service floor. Confirm security, lifts, supplier-document requirements and who buys, receives and stores ingredients, ice and glasses.

When does service finish and packing begin?

Agree the start, last-drink and finish times, plus speeches or meal breaks. Tell us if guests will remain while equipment is packed away and confirm the venue’s removal window. Agree bar-area clearing; this is not a whole-house or office cleaning service.

Where can you see our team’s actual event work?

These existing records show our service in practice. They are labelled by the events they document, rather than presented as Christmas bookings.

What else should you know before booking Christmas drinks?

Can we hire just a cocktail maker for a small Christmas party?

Yes. Staff-only hire starts at £270 for one professional and three service hours, then £67.50 per extra hour per professional. You provide the suitable counter, ingredients, ice and glasses. The 50-guest minimum belongs to inclusive packages, not staff-only hire. Travel and any date-specific pricing are confirmed in checkout.

Can the professional use our existing office or venue counter?

Yes, if the surface and working area are suitable. Share the measurements, position and access to supplies, water and waste when planning the booking. You do not need to hire a mobile bar simply because the party is in an office or hired venue.

Do we buy the alcohol, ingredients, ice and glasses?

For staff-only hire, you arrange all of these. With a staffed mobile bar, you arrange ingredients and ice; glassware hire can be added separately. An inclusive package supplies the agreed ingredients, ice and glassware with the bar and team. Your itemised quote records the selected format and extras.

What is included in an inclusive Christmas drinks package?

The agreed mobile bar, cocktail team, selected-drink ingredients, ice and glassware are included. Bottled beer, Prosecco and wine are included during cocktail-bar service. Drinks for a separate seated meal, dining-table service, Champagne or particular brands need specific agreement. Stock is planned from your guest count, service hours and selected menu, with quantities confirmed before booking; the price is not an unlimited-drinks promise.

How many professionals and bar units do we need?

Plan one professional per 50 guests and, when a mobile bar is supplied, one 1.5m unit per 100 guests, rounding each up. Two professionals can work behind one unit: for 75 guests, one unit and two professionals start at £865 for three service hours before travel and extras. Separate rooms, arrival patterns or additional duties may need a different agreed plan.

Can guests choose alcohol-free drinks?

Yes. The existing menu includes drinks with an alcohol-free option, identified in the chooser. Include non-drinkers when choosing up to five eligible drinks for the event, and check the actual options within your chosen service or package.

Can the team serve our Prosecco, wine, beer and soft drinks too?

Yes. Alongside cocktails, the professional can pour your Prosecco, wine, bottled beers and soft drinks. Declare these in the event details so the station, glasses and timing can be planned. Staff-only hire does not supply those drinks, draught equipment, dining-table waiting or food service.

How much space does the Red Brick bar need?

The single straight unit has a 1.5m frontage and a 108cm counter height. Allow a 1.5m-wide by 1.5m-deep working footprint, including the space behind the bar. Guest circulation and the delivery route are additional. Confirm doorways, lifts, stairs and the position before furniture or decorations are set out.

When does preparation happen?

The team arrives with agreed access early enough to set up and prepare before your paid service begins, ready for the first drink at the booked start time. Tell us about security, loading restrictions, the meal or speeches and the venue’s pack-down window. Arrival time is agreed for the actual setup.

What if our guest count or party timings change?

Tell us about proposed changes before the event so staffing, stock, access and the quote can be checked. Review the payment, changes and cancellation terms supplied for your booking; do not assume extra guests or hours are included in the original total.

How do we check a November or December date?

Use the guide calculator, then continue to checkout with your guest count, service hours and chosen format. Enter the exact event date and full postcode there to check the itemised total and availability. The advertised starting figures do not guarantee every December date or include travel.

Where can you book Christmas cocktail service?

Use the existing regional guides for coverage and local planning information. Your full event postcode, date and access details confirm travel and availability; a listed area is not a promise that every date is available.

Where in the UK can I book cocktail bartenders and staffed mobile bars?

Cocktailhire provides cocktail bartenders and staffed mobile bars across the UK from Bury. Choose your regional page below; the full event postcode sets the separately quoted travel. Listed postcode districts are examples. Postal spans show broad coverage bounds, not a continuous list of valid districts; adjacent-guide links identify districts handled in another regional guide.
